It has been four months since Elizabeth Holland's supposed 'death'. Her family members and friends are still morning, except one Miss Penelope Hayes, who seems rather alright with the whole ordeal.
The Holland family, however, has much larger problems to worry about, they are falling deeper and deeper into financial ruin and nothing seems to be going OK. Miss Diana has rarely been out of the house since the incident, most believe this is because of her sister's death, though some may say it is because she is now, by force, entering the world of formal courtships, and she doesn't like it one bit.
As for the Hayes, Penelope has been just as full of life as ever, partying and doing lord-knows-what all night every night. Though, she still apparently has her sights set on Mr. Schoonmaker.
Speaking of Henry, he has been seemingly back to his usual business, but something peculiar is definitely going on with Mr. Schoonmaker. The question is.. What?
Elizabeth and Will are back in town, but why? It turns out that leaving her whole life behind was not something Miss Liz was ready to do.
